Sights not to be missed
If you’re looking to party, be sure to base yourself in San Antonio, San Antonio bay area or Playa D’en Bossa. Here you can find the world-famous nightclubs such as Amnesia & Ushuaia within easy reach. But, if you’re looking for a more relaxing trip to the white isle, head to Santa Eulalia, Es cana or Cala Llonga. In these towns you can find family-friendly restaurants & resorts, relaxed dining & drinking options & chilled beaches.
If you’re heading to the white isle to experience the nightlife, here are a couple of venues worth checking out:
Amnesia is one of several internationally renowned clubs in Ibiza. It opened in 1976, and since then has received a high degree of world-wide recognition. Amnesia is one of the most iconic clubs on the island. It boasts one of the most impressive lineups, year after year. Split into two rooms, and on 3 separate levels, you can get right in the mix in the main room or in the Terrace. Alternatively, party the night away in the VIP zone. Home to weekly events such as cream & ants, this venue should definitely be on your radar!
Ushuaia is the ideal choice for travellers who come to Ibiza for the best beach & pool parties the island has to offer. Offering live performances from some of the world’s top DJs, an exclusive day & night ambience, and a modern setting designed with all kinds of comforts & luxuries, Ushuaia is the place to be!
If you’re heading to Ibiza for a more chilled experience, there are plenty of sights to see. Our recommendations include:
- Dalt Vila, Ibiza Town
Located in the capital Ibiza Town, just above the harbour, is the old quarter of Dalt Vila. This is home to the Gothic-style Catedral de Santa María and boasts magnificent views from Renaissance-era fortifications. Its formidable, floodlit, 16th-century bastions are visible from across southern Ibiza. If you want somewhere tranquil and atmospheric, then you’ve come to the right place. But, its important to note that many of its cobbled lanes are accessible only on foot.
The dramatic main entrance is up a slope, crossing a drawbridge through the Portal de Ses Taules. It’s flanked by mighty statues in Roman stone, and enters into an ancient cobbled stone courtyard, which becomes the Plaza de Vila or main square.
- Parc Natural de Ses Salines
Located on the south-eastern coastline, stretching across the water to Northern Formentera, Parc Natural is a World-Heritage site. The listed nature reserve is made up of marshes, sparkling salt pans, pine-covered cliffs & sandy beaches. Moreover, the site is also home to more than 210 species of birds & wildlife.
The little sister island of Ibiza is a must visit! If you dream of white-sandy beaches & turquoise waters, then this is the place for you! Boosting stunning coastlines that rival the likes of the Caribbean, this quiet, tranquil island is the perfect place to escape to for a few days!
In addition to the highlights that TravelTwix has picked out, there is still so much this island can offer. So, don’t overlook this destination for a chilled or fun-filled break! Or, if you fancy some snorkeling, diving, jeep safaris, boat trips or many more fun excursions, then be sure to check out Viator.
